WinterFest 2019

This year is Scarborough's 30th Annual Winterfest event, so we are pulling out all the stops with fun activities and entertainment!

Friday, February 1
4:00 to 10:00 pm
Outdoor Ice Rink

On Friday evening, we will be running a pond hockey tournament and open skate. Saco & Biddeford Savings will be providing free hot cocoa and s'mores by the bonfire. The evening will be capped off by a fireworks show!

Saturday, February 2
10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Outdoor Ice Rink, Wentworth Field, Wentworth School

On Saturday (weather/ice dependent) we will be running our tried-and-true ice events, as well as open skate for all. Saco & Biddeford Savings will be on hand in the afternoon with free hot cocoa and s'mores. With fingers crossed, if we have some good snow, we will be able to run some fun snow events, as well.

Away from the ice, we will be offering some new activities:
  • NEW Kids' Bounce Zone: There will be a kids' bounce zone in the Wentworth Gym, running for the entire event. Passes for the bounce zone will give kids access to over NINE different bouncy items (like obstacle courses, bouncy houses, slides, and gams) for the ENTIRE event! Passes may be pre-purchased online at Eventbrite (convenience fee applies) or in the Scarborough Community Services Office for $10 per child. Passes may also be purchased day-of event for $15 each. All bounce zone proceeds benefit the Scarborough Community Services Scholarship Fund, helping local children and seniors participate in programs they might miss out on due to finances.
  • Axe Women Loggers of Maine Performances: This all-female timber sports group will be joining us for the day to show off their skills. These ladies are world-champion shoppers, sawyers, logrollers, and axe throwers! Check them out at AxeWomen.com.

Stay tuned for a detailed schedule!
