Looking for something for your 12-14 year old to do this summer? The Scarborough Police Department is proud to announce Inspiring Tomorrow’s Leaders, a Scarborough Police Department Youth Leadership Experience. Last summer was the inaugural year and the camp was a great success!

The camp is designed for those who are motivated and inspired to become our next generation of leaders but has a little bit of something for everyone. This activity-driven and interactive camp will be community service-based and will include a great mix of classroom learning and outdoor activities. Instructors will all be quality leaders within our community, including educators, sports figures, military personnel, and public service personnel.

Presented by Tim Barker, a Sergeant at the Scarborough Police Department, the camp was created because he is a firm believer that leadership qualities and traits start at an early age.  Children are exposed to thoughts, feelings, and actions on a daily basis and they just may not recognize to how apply these traits towards leadership. His goal through this leadership camp is to have these leadership traits influence them in a positive way and learn to become good leaders by setting a positive example.
