Just Added! Dance Classes -- Ages 2-12

We are partnering up with Scarborough Dance Center to offer a variety of dance classes this winter season. Classes will be held in the Scarborough Dance Center facility, located at 26 Oak Hill Terrace, and will be taught by professional, knowledgeable, and patient teachers. Registration begins Tuesday, November 6, for all classes.

Creative Movement with Miss Melissa -- Ages 2-3

These classes will encourage participants to express themselves through movement. The class goals are to help young dancers build confidence, coordination, and self-expression.

 Session 1:              1/7 to 2/25 (No class 1/21)

Session 2:              3/11 to 4/22 (No class 4/15)

Mondays

10:00 to 10:30 am

$65 per session


Ballet/Jazz with Miss Miranda -- Ages 3.5-5

A great class to introduce your child to two of the most popular forms of dance: Ballet, the foundation for all dance that teaches grace, strength, and technique, and Jazz, a combination of theater, ballet, and modern dances.

Session 1:              1/8 to 2/12

Session 2:              3/5 to 4/9

Tuesdays

1:00 to 1:45 pm

$70 per session

 

Hip Hop with Miss Amanda -- Ages 6-8

Hip Hop combines the newest moves in street dancing as well as what you would see in music videos.  A high energy class and a great aerobic workout.  We incorporate new styles of hip hop with the old.

Session 1:              1/4 to 2/8

Session 2:              3/1 to 4/5             

Fridays

5:00 to 5:45 pm

$70 per session

Shawnee Peak Snow Sports Program -- Grades 4 through 8

Back my popular demand, Scarborough Community Services is once again offering this 5-week downhill snow sports program to Grades 4-8 students. Registration opens Tuesday, November 6, and must be completed in the Community Services Office at Town Hall due to necessary paperwork. 

Please feel free to print the registration packet and fill out ahead of time. Please note that if you complete the registration forms in our office, we do require your child's insurance information. We can accept cash, check, or debit card payments for this program.

COURTESY POST: Gorham Youth Wrestling Program Open to Scarborough
Participants

Wolfpack Wrestling, a youth wrestling program, is starting up in Gorham and they are opening up the program to Scarborough residents. The program is open to boys and girls in Grades K-6 and is held December through April. If you are interested in learning more, Gorham Rec will be holding a parent meeting on December 3 so you may meet the coaches and learn more about schedules, practices, meets, etc. More information and online registration may be found online at www.gorhamrec.com.

Scholarships

Community Services offers financial assistance for youth programs, senior activities, and child care (subject to change and availability).

Please come into the Community Services Office to fill out the appropriate form or call us at 730-4150 for more information.
