Just Added! Spring Cross Country (Ages 6-12)

Come join in the fun of this popular spring sport.  This program involves learning the proper technique used in running through different terrain such as woods, 
fields, and a track.  Practices are held Mondays and Thursdays.  Participants who are interested in competing can attend the optional cross-country meets on Wednesday afternoons (transportation not provided). Meet schedule will be provided by coaches as soon as it is finalized. Instructor: Kathy Werner.

Shirts for this program may be purchased through the coaches for a fee of $10.

Just Added! Youth Ultimate Frisbee (Grades 6-8)

If you're athletic and love team sports, or are just looking for something new and exciting to do, come check out Ultimate Frisbee. Everyone plays!  Everyone has fun! We'll teach you to throw and catch in no time! Participants will be split into different age brackets, as necessary.  No experience is necessary (don't worry if you aren't good with a Frisbee . . . nobody is when they start)! This group will have weekly games against other clubs from Falmouth, Cape Elizabeth, Cumberland, South Portland, and also attend two multi-game local tournaments on weekends. Registration fee includes team jersey, frisbee, and tournament fees.

Just Added! High School Ultimate Frisbee

Scarborough will be participating in the 2019 High School Ultimate Spring League for the 7th year in a row. League play and games will again be scheduled for Wednesdays at Wainwright Farms and New Gloucester Fairgrounds in four divisions, Boys A, Boys B, Girls and Mixed.  Scarborough will be entering teams in the appropriate divisions based on the level of participation.  The Scarborough practice location is currently set for Memorial field (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri).  For more information please contact Steve Stracqualursi (steve.straq@gmail.com).  

The list of schools that we will be competing against is still being finalized but these are all possibilities: Bangor, Brunswick, Cape Elizabeth, Casco Bay, Cheverus, Cumberland, Edward Little, Falmouth, Forest City (Portland/Deering), Freeport, Fryeburg, Gorham, Gray-New Gloucester, Islesboro, Kennebunk, Maine Coast Waldorf, Scarborough, South Portland, Waynflete, Westbrook, and Yarmouth

Fee includes a uniform and a disc. This fee does not include the USAU membership fees (approximately $15 for the affiliate members and $38 required to play in the state championships and sanctioned tournaments). Transportation to games is not provided.

Changes to Spring Basketball Training

Due to scheduling conflicts, the Spring Basketball Training programs have been changed slightly:

03-19 to 04-11-2019
Tuesdays and Thursdays
Grades 2-5:   5:30 to 6:45 pm
Grades 6-8:   6:45 to 8:00 pm
Wentworth Gym
$100 per child

Scholarships

Community Services offers financial assistance for youth programs, senior activities, and child care (subject to change and availability).

Please come into the Community Services Office to fill out the appropriate form or call us at 730-4150 for more information.
