New Police Officers

Please join us in welcoming our two newest full-time Officers Daniel Donovan and Derek Miller.

Daniel recently graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Saint Joseph’s College. While earning his degree Daniel interned with the Drug Enforcement Administration as well as the Westbrook Police Department. Daniel also worked during the summers at Seaport Marina in Lynn, Massachusetts as a Dockhand Assistant to the Harbormaster. In that position he enforced environmental regulations and operated a wide variety of marine vessels while ensuring the security of the marina. Additionally, at St. Joe’s, Daniel was the captain of the varsity baseball team, captain of the club hockey team, and a member of the criminal justice club.

Derek graduated in May with a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Husson University. He also received the Excellence in Graduate Criminal Justice Administration Award and was a member of the National Criminal Justice Honor Society, Alpha Phi Sigma. While attending school Derek interned at the Maine State Prison and became a fully certified Correctional Officer. Derek’s work history includes managing the weight room at Husson, working as a Youth Program Assistant at the Rockland Recreation Center and as a painter for Bay View Painting, located in Union, Maine.
