Administration

The administrative division of Public Works manages a multi-billion dollar infrastructure and either directs the expenditures or provides oversight of funding from various program resources.

Responsibilities also include policy development, training and career development, budgeting, fiscal administration, community relations, and information systems. Division staff provide administrative and IT support to all of Public Works’ personnel in order to improve their responsiveness to Scarborough’s needs.

Providing excellent public information is a key focus of the Division’s work, whether it is with residents, businesses, vendors, or Public Works’ staff. The Division manages service requests, work order systems, and public relations. We also provide significant operational support to other town departments through Vehicle Maintenance.

The Administration Division is guided by Public Works’ mission to provide dependable, high quality service – maintaining, improving and expanding a safe, healthy, attractive and inviting physical environment.
