ELECTION INFORMATION - TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2014

Tuesday, November 4, 2014, State General Elections and Municipal Elections Information:

ABSENTEE BALLOTS WITH SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES:  The deadline to request an absentee ballot, including a ballot voted in the presence of the clerks was Thursday, October 30, 2014; however, if the Voter completes a Special Circumstance Application [see below] stating one of the four reasons they can vote by absentee at Town Hall in Chamber B on Friday, October 31st and on Monday, November 3rd:

·    An unexpected absence from the municipality during the entire time the polls are open on election day;

·    A physical disability,

·    An inability to travel to the polls because the voter is a resident of a coastal island ward or precinct; or

·    An incapacity or illness that has resulted in the voter being unable to leave home or a treatment facility.

This special circumstances application must be signed by only the voter.  NOTE:  The deadline for returning absentee ballots has not changed.  You can return ballots at the Town Hall on Friday, October 31st and on Monday, November 3rd and up until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, November 4, 2014, at the High School.

Voting will take place at the High School in Alumni Gymnasium on Election Day, Tuesday, November 4, 2014, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. As a reminder the main entrance to the High School is now located at the traffic light in front of the Municipal Building at 259 U.S. Route One.
