Project G.R.A.C.E. Rally to Keep Our Neighbors Warm

With the coldest weeks of Winter upon us, too many elders and families are struggling to put food on the table and keep furnaces running. The volunteers at Project G.R.A.C.E. are already answering more calls for home heating help, many from people who have never asked for help before or who haven’t asked for a very long time.

To help Project G.R.A.C.E raise critical funds for their heating fuel assistance program, the group has been offered a challenge grant by local businessman and benefactor, Eddie Woodin, who will give the group $2,000 if they can raise an additional $10,000 from the community during a Rally to Keep Our Neighbors Warm.

Where: Oak Hill Fire Station
When: Saturday, February 8th, 9:00 AM - Noon

The Rally includes demos and displays and activities for the whole family. And it's another example of what a wonderful and caring community we have here in Scarborough. We won’t leave our neighbors out in the cold.

Can’t make the Rally? You can also donate to this worthy cause directly through Project G.R.A.C.E. on their website, by mail at P.O. Box 6846, Scarborough, ME 04070-6846, or by donating at Town Hall to the Scarborough Fuel Assistance Fund.
