We are always looking for ways to serve the residents of Scarborough the very best that we can. Sometimes, in the process of making improvements, there are

unexpected challenges. Please see the explanation from Cable Operations Manager Michael Hoffheimer for the lack of audio for the April 26, 2018 Finance Committee meeting that is now available on demand on the Scarborough Community Television web page:

Here is a brief explanation of what happened last Thursday with the Finance Committee Meeting:

Since our upgrade we have not been able to run simultaneous meetings in both Chambers A and B without using a camcorder in one while recording the live switched broadcast in the other. Last week our AV company installed the hard drives from our previous set up that allowed us in the past to record back ups of every meeting as well as record live programs from both chambers, even at the same time. The issue that arose was the hard drive connected to chamber B was not wired correctly for sound and although the meeting went out live with sound, the hard drive did not record it. That night there were also two other meetings scheduled at the same time taking all of my staff and all of my recording capability. The sound recording issue has now been addressed and tested.
