Special Recall Election - Tuesday, May 8, 2018:

Voting will take place in Town Council Chambers at the Scarborough Municipal Building located at 259 US Route One from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8,

2018.

 

The Absentee Ballots [Sample ballots below] for the Special Recall Election are now available in the Town Clerk’s Office during regular business hours. Voting in the presence of the Town Clerk without a reason will begin on Thursday, April 26th and end on Thursday, May 3rd during regular business hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, except for the first and third Wednesday, we are open until 6:30 p.m.

 

The Town Clerk’s Office will be open on Saturday, April 28, 2018, for absentee voting from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

 

The voter may request an absentee ballot by completing theApplication for an Absentee Ballot [Application below] form and mailing it to the Scarborough Town Clerk's Office at P.O. Box 360, Scarborough, ME 04070-0360 or the voter can contact the Town Clerk's Office at 207-730-4020 to make their request for an absentee ballot to be mailed to them.

 

Starting on Friday, May 4th and Monday, May 7th the voter must fill out a ‘Special Circumstance Application” [Application below] and check the appropriate box that applies:

 

I will be absent from my municipality of residence unexpectedly during the entire time the polls are open on Election Day.

I have a physical disability.

      I am unable to leave my home or treatment facility due to an incapacity or illness;

      I am a resident of a coastal island ward or precinct and am unable to travel to the Polls.
