State Primary Election and Scarborough School Budget Validation Referendum - Tuesday, June 14th

Voting will take place at the High School in Alumni Gymnasium, located 11 Municipal Drive from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on

Tuesday, June 14, 2016.


In a Primary Election, Voters must be enrolled in one of the three eligible parties [Democrat, Green Independent and Republican] to receive a primary ballot as well as the School Budget Validation Ballot. Voters who are not enrolled in a party are still eligible to vote in the School Budget Validation Referendum. Unenrolled voters can declare a party anytime up to and including Election Day.


Currently, Ballots are not available; however, the voter may request an absentee ballot by completing one of the forms below: if you are currently enrolled in a party, please fill out the State Application for an Absentee Ballot [see attachment below] and if you are not enrolled in a party, please fill out the School Application for an Absentee Ballot [see attachment below] The Voter can mail the application to the Scarborough Town Clerk's Office at P.O. Box 360, Scarborough, ME 04070-0360; the voter can contact the Town Clerk's Office at 730-4020 to make their request for an absentee ballot to be mailed to them or apply electronically at:




The deadline to request an absentee ballot for the June 14th Election is Thursday, June 9th.
