More Summer Trips for 55+

Two new trips added to the summer line up!

Join us for a visit to the Osher Map Library and Smith Center for Cartographic Education, which is located on the Portland campus of the University of Southern Maine. We can explore the current exhibits and browse the extensive cartographic  collection which includes original maps, atlases, globes, rare books, and scientific instruments, dating from 1475 to the present. After our visit we will navigate our way to find lunch (on your own) at the Great Lost Bear, a local restaurant.

Join us for a matinee performance of Little Women at the Hackmatack Theater in Berwick. Based on Louisa May Alcott's American classic, this Civil War era musical of love and family stands the test of time. With its unforgettable melodies and timeless themes, this musical is a must-see for all ages. The Playhouse has been running as a summer stock theater since 1972. It  is located on the historic Guptill homestead which has been consistently operating as a farm since the late 1600s. Please note that the theater is housed in an old barn and does not have air conditioning.

Bring a brown bag lunch for a picnic on the grounds before the show. We plan to arrive at the playhouse a little early so we have time to eat lunch and walk around the farm to visit the American bison and other farm animals. No refunds for cancellations after August 12, unless we are able to find a replacement.
