Neighborhood Fire Stations

The Suppression/Operations division responds from six neighborhood fire stations, staffed 7 days a week with per diem apparatus operators. The call company members respond from home, work or anywhere to perform fire/rescue duties. Between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. the town relies on the call company members to respond  to the station to drive the apparatus to the scene as some stations do not have per diem operators during those time frames.

Our call company members are dedicated town residents that have undertaken the task of being trained to respond to any type of emergency. They are supervised by a call company captain, and the call company deputy fire chiefs. Our per diem apparatus operators are experienced Scarborough call company members or career firefighters from other communities that work part time in our six fire stations. They are supervised by the on duty paramedic lieutenant, and the operations deputy fire chief.
