NOTICE: It has come to our attention that some applicants for Planning Board or Zoning Board of Appeals have received emails notifying them of an application review and approval fee. The Town of Scarborough will never ask you to wire funds, do not comply with instructions to wire funds.
All application, permit, and impact fee payments can be mailed to the Town Hall ATTN: Planning Department or dropped off at our office. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us at 207-730-4040.
Building Permit Application Information
Building Permit applications can be delivered for review in the following ways:

Mailed: PO Box 360 Scarborough ME 04070-0360
The Planning Department is located on the lower level of the Municipal Building.
All application forms are fillable. Download the application, fill out the form and save or print it. If you do not receive a confirmation within 24 business hours of submitting an application via email, please contact us to verify receipt. Please note that some application materials may be required in paper format for review.
