Reserve Officers

The Scarborough Police Department employs uniformed reserve officers who provide a variety of essential duties. Reserve officers complement the uniformed patrol division by providing part-time coverage with policing concerns at local beaches, special events and outside job details.

Reserve officers are required to complete a law enforcement pre-service training program prior to working in uniform, and they exercise similar authority to full time officers in accordance with state law.
