The Annual Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Drop Off Days for 2024 are as follows:

  • Scarborough: Saturday, May 11th, 2024 (8 am - Noon) at 20 Washington Ave, Scarborough
  • Saco: Saturday, July 27th, 2024 (8 am - Noon) at 15 Phillips Spring Road, Saco
  • Biddeford: Saturday, September 14th, 2024 (8 am - Noon)  at 371 Hill Street, Biddeford

Scarborough residents are welcome to participate in all three HHW Days at no cost. Proof of residency is required.

Riverside Recycling (910 Riverside Street, Portland (207) 797-6200) offers a HHW Drop Off Day on the first Saturday of every month (April through November) from 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Minimal fees apply.

You can also dispose of paint at any time of the year through the Maine PaintCare Program.
