Planning Board
About
The Scarborough Planning Board reviews new residential, commercial and industrial development, as well as in many cases the redevelopment of existing uses, in accordance with the Site Plan Review and Subdivision Review Ordinances. Further, when amendments to land use regulations are proposed to the Town Council, the Planning Board reviews the amendments, conducts a public hearing and makes recommendations to the Town Council regarding these regulations. The Planning Board also plays an integral role in the review and approval of Contract Zones.

Planning Board meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 6:30 pm in Council Chambers, unless otherwise stated.

Planning Board Applications
Electronic submissions should be emailed to Planning on or before the required deadline. Hard copy submissions are still required. Payments for applications can be made either by check (mailed or placed in the submission packet). Other methods of payment can be discussed with Staff.
To arrange a submission and drop off time for applications please contact: Helen Harman or Autumn Speer. If you have any questions, please call the Planning and Code Enforcement Office at 207-730-4040 during the hours of 7 am to 5 pm Monday - Thursday.
