Attend a Budget Roundtable this April

The Town Manager and Superintendent presented the FY2025 budget to the Town Council on March 27. Now the budget is in the hands of the Council and the School Board to make adjustments. The budget is intended to reflect the values and priorities of the community, so it’s very important we hear from you throughout the process. 

The Town Council established Budget Roundtable discussions in an effort to encourage public engagement in the budget review process. These are informal, one-hour sessions hosted by members of the Town Council and Board of Education. It is an opportunity for them to listen, understand, and answer questions about the budget. The Budget Roundtables are scheduled to follow the Finance Committee meetings so that the budget in discussion has been through initial reviews since first being presented.

Budget Roundtables are planned for:

Saturday, April 20 10:00-11:00am (Public Safety Building)

Monday, April 22 5:00-6:00pm (Council Chambers at Town Hall)

Wednesday, April 24 5:00-6:00pm (Council Chambers at Town Hall)

Finance Committee Meetings are on the Town Calendar and will be happening weekly starting the week of April 8th and are open to the public (view Budget timeline). If you have thoughts, questions or recommendations, you can email the Town Council and School Board at towncouncil@scarboroughmaine.org or boe@scarboroughschools.org.
