School Superintendent Announces Resignation


The Scarborough Board of Education announced on Friday, February 1 that Superintendent Geoffrey Bruno has formally submitted a letter of resignation and will complete his service to the district at the end of this school year.

Mr. Bruno has served as the Superintendent in Scarborough for the past 3 years and has been hired by the Groton Dunstable Regional School District in Groton, Massachusetts.

The Board is grateful for Geoff’s leadership and dedication to Scarborough over the past three years. Geoff’s passion for education and creating a positive experience for all learners is felt throughout all of our schools and has inspired us all. We wish Geoff well on his next endeavor. 

The Board will discuss next steps for hiring a  Superintendent at the February 15th Board of Education meeting.
